The Center of Robotics and Automation (CRA) serves as the central hub within Nirma University, established to foster and advance interdisciplinary research and developmental endeavors in the domains of robotics and automation. The CRA is furnished with cutting-edge infrastructure including a UR10 six-axis collaborative robot, a 25DOF NAO Humanoid robot, a TurtleBot mobile robot, an AI-SerBot intelligent mobile robot, an Omni drive mobile robot, a Hydraulic and Pneumatic trainer kit, a PLC trainer kit, a Sensors kit, and assorted DIY kits. Operating within the state-of-the-art facility, CRA is engaged in many externally funded research projects, PhD projects, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. These projects primarily revolve around soft robotics, reconfigurable robots, structure-climbing robots, AI-enabled or AI-assisted robotic applications, field robots, underwater robots, and other related areas. The center also encourage and support students to take part in various national and international competitions.
