The Centre for Robotics and Automation (CRA), Nirma University, in association with the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), Nirma University, organized a two-day workshop on “6DOF COBOT (UR10e)” on 8–9 August 2026. The workshop was attended by 23 participants from diverse technical backgrounds.
The workshop provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of six-degree-of-freedom robotic manipulators, covering the fundamentals of forward and inverse kinematics along with their practical implementation. Participants also gained hands-on experience in programming the UR10e collaborative robot for various industrial applications. In addition, the workshop included practical sessions on modelling and simulation of robotic arms using MATLAB Simscape, enabling participants to bridge theoretical concepts with simulation and real-world applications.
The sessions were designed with a balanced combination of theoretical discussions, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and simulation-based learning. The workshop received excellent feedback from the participants, who expressed high satisfaction with the content, hands-on exposure, and overall delivery of the programme.
