Robocon

Robocon is an International Robotic Contest organized by ABU (Asia-pacific Broadcasting Union) and hosted by different member country every year since 2002. The host country declare the Theme (Problem statement) of the competition one year advance. Based on the same Theme, every member country organizes the National level competition and select the national winner which further represent the country in international competition.

Doordarshan being a member of ABU form India, organizes the National Robocon in India partnering with different academic institutions in the country.

Team Nirma Robocon has been consistently participating in this competition since its inception. The Team Nirma Robocon has won the national championship title a record braking 10 times out of 22 competitions held so far defeating premier engineering institutions of India including IITs and NITs.
