Team Nirma AUV from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University is ready to represent the university at the national-level underwater robotics competition AMUROV 4.0, scheduled on 7–8 February 2026 at Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh. The team has an excellent track record, having won the National Winner title consecutively in AMUROV 2.0 (2023) and AMUROV 3.0 (2024).
For this competition, the student team has designed and developed an advanced Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) capable of efficient movement in all directions, equipped with cameras, sensors, AI-based object detection, and a custom gripper for underwater tasks. The robot has been developed entirely by students within a short span of time, showcasing strong innovation, teamwork, and practical engineering skills.
Team Nirma AUV also actively participates in international underwater robotics competitions and has brought international recognition to the university in recent years. The Centre for Robotics and Automation (CRA) extends its best wishes to Team Nirma AUV for a successful performance at AMUROV 4.0 and continued excellence at the national level.
