Vaibhav Sharma
The spark of robotics clicked in me after joining the Robocon team of Nirma University. It was
there that the foundational building blocks of all the skills I possess today were laid. I am deeply
grateful to the Centre of Robotics and Automation (CRA) for providing me with a remarkable
platform to learn, grow, and showcase my dedication and capabilities in building tangible robotic
systems.
I had the privilege to be a part of the Robocon team in 2022, an experience that significantly
shaped my practical knowledge. Further, leading teams in Robofest 3.0 (Hexapod category) and
Robofest 4.0 (Two-wheel self-balancing category) were milestones that I could achieve only
because of the immense support and efficient management from CRA and Nirma University.
During this journey, I also completed a Minor project, fully funded and supported by CRA, which
added immense value to my hands-on learning.
A special note of thanks goes to my mentors—Mihir Sir, Darshita Ma’am, and Jatin Sir—whose
guidance and constructive feedback were invaluable throughout my journey. Their
encouragement pushed me to continuously improve and excel.
I am sincerely grateful for these opportunities and support systems that have empowered me to
evolve both personally and professionally in the field of robotics and mechanical engineering
